Beware the Domain Giant, for the Domain Giant will step on you and you will be no more!

Yes, that’s right folks.  GoDaddy.com was hacked on Monday, September 10, 2012, and has now come out to say, “The service outage was due to a series of internal network events that corrupted router data tables. Once the issues were identified, we took corrective actions to restore services for our customers and GoDaddy.com. We have implemented a series of immediate measures to fix the problem.”

This is from an email I received from GoDaddy.com at 4:34PM on Friday, September 14, 2012 — OK, I know, I have no proof that the issues were caused by a hacker, except for the fact that Anonymous member AnonymousOwn3r took credit for an attack.   Sure, this is not proof, but why claim it if it is not…

Anyway, this is what the email also said:

As a result of this disruption, your account will be credited for the value of 1 month of service for each plan that has at least one active or published site (Web Hosting, Quick Shopping Cart®, Website Builder, Email, etc.).* This credit will be available to you for the next 7 days. Please click the button below to redeem your credit.

Do you want to see the extent of GoDaddy.com’s generous offer?
