This evening I had a Daddy Daughter Date night with Charlotte, with Poppa Noel joining us at an Adirondack Phantoms game at the Glens Falls Civic Center. It was a good game and the Phantoms 3-1 win over the Albany Devils brings them to four wins in a row.
We had a great time, arriving a few minutes early which allowed us to come down by the glass and watch the guys during the pre-game practice. During this time, Adirondack #9 Rob Bordson tagged a puck against the glass where we were standing.
This made Charlotte a little nervous, but I explained that he was just having a little fun. A little later during the 20-minute session, he skated over with a puck and pointed to the top of the glass, and tossed the puck up and over. I caught it and gave it to Charlotte.
After the game, the team had an on-ice photo session with the phans (Adirondack for fans), so we went down and sort out Rob Bordson and had Charlotte’s photo taken with him. She was so excited to she him up close.
What a great evening, and class interaction with a class guy from a class team. Kudos Adirondack Phantoms. Thank you!
